Fabius board appoints new supervisor

In light of the resignation of Kenneth Linn, Fabius Township Board members last week appointed Dan Wilkins to serve as its new supervisor.

Wilkins has served as a trustee for eight years and is the vice chair of the township planning commission.

Wilkins’ appointment was made during a special meeting Friday, a meeting called to accept the resignation of Linn.

The 57-year-old Linn was charged last month with four counts of first-degree sexual conduct. The alleged incident occurred in August 2010, authorities said. An investigation revealed the alleged victim was intoxicated at the time and unable to give consent, which resulted in injury.

Linn’s bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety.

Court officials said a preliminary examination is scheduled for Nov. 23.
