Marty S. Ureche, age 64, of Three Rivers, died on November 19, 2022, after a battle with dementia. He was born on July 25, 1958 in Flint, the son of Thomas, Sr. and Elizabeth (Hahn) Ureche.
Marty was a 1976 graduate of Swartz Creek High School. He was a forklift operator for General Motors, and happily retired after 30 years. Marty then moved to Three Rivers to be near his three girls, Alisha, Lindsey, and Kerry, who he loved dearly. Marty loved music and had an extensive record collection, MSU Spartans, traveling, and the beloved dogs he had over the years. An EMT and volunteer fire fighter in his younger years, Marty always stopped to help if he saw someone in need. He was quick to share the photos he took of sporting events and nature, and newspaper clippings of anyone he knew. He had a kind heart, an infectious laugh, and a great wink.
Marty is survived by his daughters: Alisha Hoercher, Lindsey (Nicolas) Millet, and Kerry Ureche; grandchildren: Tayler Hoercher, Kennedy Withers, Maelle Millet, Mathis Millet, and Owen Ureche; brother Thomas Ureche, Jr.; several nieces and nephews; and dear friend Grace Bentley. Marty was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Alan (Sheila) Ureche and Steve Ureche.
