Roxann L. Jordan, age 67, of Colon, passed away Thursday morning, November 10, 2022 at her home.
She was born November 8, 1955 in Pontiac, Michigan daughter of the late Robert and Esther (Filby) Cox, Sr.
Roxann resided in Colon since 1993. Her early life was spent in Pontiac and for one year she and Tim lived in Montana.
In 1972 she married Danny Laney. This marriage ended in divorce. On July 9, 1991 she married Timothy Jordan in Hillsdale.
Most of Roxann’s working life was in housekeeping services. She had been employed by the Coldwater Hospital, Stoughton Estates and several area hotels.
She enjoyed crafts and gardening.
Roxann is survived by her loving and dedicated husband: Timothy; three daughters: Jennifer Leitzke of Colon, Susan (Charles) Bohne of Colon and Nichole (John) Gearhart of Jackson; four sons: Danny Laney of Coldwater, Chad (Monica) Jordan of Sturgis, Robert Laney of Spencerville, Indiana and Christopher Laney of Colon; 10 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters: Rebecca (Michael) Wainwright of Pontiac and Rolanda Berendt of Kentucky; brothers-in-law: Kenneth Jordan and Scott Piper; very special niece: Catrina (Damion) Russell of Helena, Montana; special friend: Lois Bearden of Coldwater and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Roselie Piper and two brothers: Robert Cox, Jr. and Ronald Cox.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday, Nov. 26th at the New Beginnings Church, 63022 M-66 in Sturgis. A memorial service celebrating the life of Roxann Jordan will immediately follow the visitation at 1:00. The Rev. Randy Evans will officiate.
