Wayne E. Martinka, age 68, of Leonidas, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at his home.
Wayne was born on May 25, 1954, a son to the late Joseph J. and Lorraine E. (Kaiser) Martinka.
Wayne was a graduate of Three Rivers High School with the class of 1972.
On September 21, 1994, Wayne married Veronica Denton-Puckett in Centreville. Veronica would precede him in death on May 7, 2021. Prior to his marriage with Veronica, Wayne was married to Nancy Wagner, this marriage would end in divorce.
Known for his ability to fix anything and everything, Wayne worked several different jobs. He was most recently employed at Nottawa Gas. He also owned his own TV repair shop and was a hobby mechanic. Wayne was also a volunteer fire fighter for the Lockport-Fabius Park Township Fire Department.
Surviving Wayne are his children: Dawn (Allen) Clark of White Pigeon, Kimberly (Cecil) Comadoll of Sturgis, Sarah (Jamie) Alber-Martinka of Centreville, and Heather (Mark) Lillywhite of Three Rivers, grandchildren: Heather (Jason) Clark, Kristin (Justin) Rube, Alicia Clark, Jessie (David) Trowbridge, Mark (Jamie) Trowbridge Jr., Justin Trowbridge, Emily Nosler, Titan Lillywhite, Lauren Lillywhite, Colten Lillywhite, Jhenna Puckett, and Trevor Saylor, one great granddaughter Allison Ashdown, a brother Marvin Heiber, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Veronica, a brother Clayton Martinka, and stepchildren: Joline and Joseph Puckett.
Following in Wayne’s wish’s cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
