Chris Mohney, 49

Christopher P. Mohney. age 49, of  Mishawaka, died on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Mishawaka. He was born August 19, 1973 in Three Rivers, a son of Douglas and Sheryl (Hocker) Mohney. Chris graduated from Centreville High School in 1992. On December 2, 2016 he married Theresa Jewell in Mishawaka.
Chris was employed at Federal Mogul / Tenneco in South Bend for the past 7 years in the proto type lab. He previously worked for 15 years at American Axel in Three Rivers.
Chris loved music and was an accomplished drummer having played with a few bands over the years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an avid University of Michigan football fan. Most of all, Chris was a devoted family man who cherished spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife Theresa Mohney, Mishawaka,  daughters Marissa (Chris) Chupp, Portage,  Samantha Mohney-Ivkovich, Byron Center,  Ava Ivkovich, Mancelona,  step children Keegan (Kelsey) Hayes, Whitestown, IN,  Meghan (Brandon) Cherry, Tampa, FL,  Madison Poston, Mount Verde, FL,  mother Sheryl (John) Furey, Constantine,  brother James (Dawn) Mohney, Mendon,  sister Nicole Sexton, Constantine,  Colby (Nikki) Furey, Mendon,  several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and grand parents.
Relatives and friends will be received Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 10 to 11 am at Firm Foundation Ministries in Centreville, where Services will follow at 11 am. Pastor Doug Schwartz and Pastor James Mohney will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Three Rivers.
