Clara W. Bontrager, age 69, of Centreville, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 at her home.
She was born March 23, 1953 in Decatur, Indiana daughter of the late William J. and Lydia Mae (Yoder) Bontrager.
Clara resided most of her life in Centreville.
She owned and operated Bontrager Tax Service since 1983.
Clara was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She is survived by her siblings: Alvin (Susie) Bontrager of Chili, WI, Elizabeth (Eli) Chupp of Nappanee, IN, Levi (Mary Esther) Bontrager of Centreville, Lydia (Amos) Miller of Sturgis, Wilma Miller of Colon, Joseph (Fannie) Bontrager of Sturgis, Dena Bontrager of Centreville, William (Katie Ellen) Bontrager of Centreville and Sylvia (Mervin) Eash of Burr Oak; many nieces and nephews including Paul Bontrager and his family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Alma Bontrager; sister-in-law: Esther Bontrager and brother-in-law: Wayne Miller.
The family will receive friends all day Saturday and Sunday at the Paul Bontrager residence located at 60222 Lepley Rd., Centreville, MI 49032 where funeral services will begin at 9:30 A.M. Monday. The Home Ministry will officiate. Burial will follow the service at the Old Order Amish Cemetery in Centreville.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is assisting the family with arrangements.
