Austin C. Opdycke, age 17, of Three Rivers passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 in Three Rivers.
He was born March 30, 2005 in Sturgis, son of Zachary and Brandi (Pokorny) Opdycke.
Austin resided most of his life in Sturgis.
He was currently a sophomore at Three Rivers High School and was working at Little Caesars Pizza in Three Rivers.
Austin enjoyed video games and gaming, time spent in the outdoors, fishing and mushroom hunting and had a real appreciation for animals. He loved time spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother: Brandi Murphy of Three Rivers; father: Zachary Opdycke of Sturgis; brothers: Zachery Robert Opdycke, Blake Opdycke and Brody Opdycke; grandparents: Bob and Jean Stahl of Sturgis; Tammy Opdycke of Sturgis, Gary Opdycke of Canada and Jeff Pokorny of Three Rivers and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including his special aunt: Rachel.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents: Harold and Sharilyn “Cookie” Dillen, Elaine “Lainnie” and Mel Morris and uncle: Jimmy Jackson.
In accordance with family wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 Tuesday, January 17th at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis where a memorial service celebrating the life of Austin Opdycke will immediately follow the visitation at 3:00. Pastor Ryan Bibb of the Radiant Life Church in Sturgis will officiate.
