Karla Brouse, 60

Karla K. Brouse, age 60, of White Pigeon, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2023 at her home. She was born January 18, 1962 in Three Rivers, a daughter of Carl and Viviene (Zentz) Pridgeon. On September 25, 1992 Karla married James Brouse at the Mottville American Legion. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2020.

Karla graduated from Constantine High School in 1980. In her early years she worked at various restaurants and at other local businesses. Karla enjoyed traveling, going up north, antiquing, auctions, and was active in the St. Joe Valley Old Engine Club. She was an animal lover, enjoyed gardening, and time spent with her friends. Mostly she loved taking care of her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was considered a “mom” and “grandma” to many.

Surviving Karla are her daughters Amy Mockerman, White Pigeon,  Kelly (Pete) Sommers, Constantine; grandchildren Dakota Frohriep, Logan Mockerman, Peter Sommers, Lukas Mockerman, Timothy Sommers, Breana Sommers, Addilyn Keith; great grandchildren Colt Sommers, Finley Frohriep; sisters Chirie Pridgeon, Lisa Gold, Jody Shears; uncle LaVerne (Nancy) Pridgeon, and step-children Brian and Todd. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date.
