Brent Duane Cruea, age 53, of Sturgis, passed away Monday morning, February 6, 2023 at his home.
He was born July 10, 1969 in Sturgis, son of Roger Dale and Judith A. (Holt) Cruea.
Brent was a lifelong Sturgis resident and graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1987.
He had been employed by Ram Products in Sturgis for several years until health issues forced him to retire.
Brent had an appreciation for music, especially Rock & Roll and Heavy Metal, and enjoyed listening to audio books.
He is survived by his son: Ronald Anderson of Athens; mother: Judy (Kenneth) Ettinger of Sturgis; brother: Barry (Helen) Cruea of Sturgis; sister: Kendra (Charles) Lipscomb of Sturgis; nieces and nephews: Breanna, Dakota, Jordan, Rebecca and Melissa and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents: Horace and Lucille Holt and Leroy and Velma Cruea and uncles: Raymond Holt, Randy Holt and Michael Cruea and aunt: Alice Cruea.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 Friday, Feb. 10th at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis and from 1:00 to 2:00 Saturday at the Sturgis Church of Christ, 901 N. Lakeview Ave. in Sturgis where funeral services celebrating the life of Brent Cruea will begin at 2:00 Saturday. Pastors George Cleverley and David Main will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at the Burr Oak Cemetery.
