Edna Jean Helmuth, age 85, of LaGrange, died Friday, February 24, 2023, at Life Care Center of LaGrange.
Mrs. Helmuth was born on August 1, 1937, in Colon to Paul and Mabel (Warkentine) Stewart.
Edna was graduate of Colon High School. Living for many years in LaGrange County, she was a homemaker and member of the LaGrange Missionary Church.
On December 5, 1959, in LaGrange, she married Reuben Helmuth; Mr. Helmuth preceded her in death on December 14, 2020.
Surviving are his two daughters, Hope A. (David) Sanchez of Watauga, TX and Karen (Glenn) Yoder of Irwin, OH; two grandchildren, Michelle (Matthew) Maust, and Clayton (Rachel) Yoder; two step-grandchildren, Carlos Sanchez and Lorenzo Sanchez; and four great-grandchildren, Shelby Yoder, Norbert Yoder, Dylan Schlabach, and Elowyn Maust; and a sister, Mary Krugh of Shipshewana.
Preceding her in death along with her husband, were her parents, Paul and Mabel Stewart; and a brother, Raymond Stewart.
A memorial service will take place at a later date and burial will take place privately at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange.
