Henry V. Schwartz II, age 60, of Sturgis, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior early Saturday morning, February 4, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born July 21, 1962 in Sturgis, son of the late Henry and Pauline N. (Eichorn) Schwartz.
Henry resided nearly his entire life in Sturgis and was a graduate of Centreville High School with the class of 1980.
On April 11, 1981 he married Kendra Wickey at the Locust Grove Mennonite Church in Burr Oak.
Henry was a true entrepreneur being involved in numerous business ventures. He was highly involved in real estate, buying, selling, and renting homes and apartment buildings.
His faith in Jesus Christ was paramount in his life. He was an ordained Pastor in the Church of God and was always willing to serve in most any capacity he was able, but his favorite service was teaching Sunday school. He and Kendra were recently attending Grace Christian Fellowship Church in Sturgis.
Henry had a love for most any game played around a table with his family.
He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 41 years: Kendra; one son: Dr. Henry (Anna) Schwartz, III, M.D. of Greenville, South Carolina; two daughters: Heidi (Clayton) Musolff of Sturgis and Kassandra (Braden) Weber of Grand Rapids; grandchildren: Adaline Schwartz and Henry Schwartz, IV; three sisters: Louanne (Bill) Younts of Constantine, Ida (Jim) Miller of Sarasota, Florida and Amy Reed of Kalamazoo; two brothers: Wayne (Joi) Schwartz of Sturgis and Ken Schwartz of Sarasota, Florida; sister-in-law: Pam Nattoli and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 on Tuesday, Feb. 7th at the Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 300 Timothy St. in Sturgis where funeral services celebrating the life of Henry V. Schwartz, II will be held at 1:00 Wednesday, Feb. 8th. Pastor Luke Eicher will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at the Locust Grove Cemetery in Burr Oak.
