Hilda M. Ortiz, age 46, of Sturgis, passed away unexpectedly at home on or after Sunday, January 29, 2023.
She was born March 24, 1976 in Belleglade, FL a daughter to Francisco and Bertha (Casarez) Ortiz.
Hilda was currently employed as Assistant Property Manager at Timberbrook Modular Home Community in Bristol, Indiana.
She enjoyed arts and crafts, knitting, car and motorcycle rides, music and dancing, nails, and spending time with her children who were her “heartbeat”.
Surviving are her children: Christopher Garcia, Adrian Aldape, Yazmine Aldape, Adalberto Jr. Garcia, and Noah Garcia; her husband: Rodolfo Dela Cruz; a daughter-in-law: Britani Smith; brothers & sisters: Isaias (Lorena) Lerma, Javier (Kim) Lerma, Gloria (Jose) Nail, Velia Curiel, Bobby Herrera, and Frankie Ortiz; and her parents: Franciso and Bertha Ortiz.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 1:00 to 4:00 on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091.
A Service celebrating her life will be held at 4:00, immediately following visitation, at the funeral home and cremation will follow the services.
The family suggest memorial donations be directed to the family to help with expenses, envelopes are available at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
