Mark E. Lutz, age 72, of Elkhart, died on Monday, February 20, 2023 at his home. He was born October 9, 1950 in Sturgis, a son of Franklin and Beverly (Wilkins) Lutz. Mark graduated from White Pigeon High School in 1968. On November 14, 1992 he married Anita Stalnaker in Edwardsburg.
Mark worked as a self employed carpenter for several area contractors. He also served as a bus driver for Elkhart Community Schools from 2015 to 2020. He enjoyed building model ships, reading books and spending time outside in his workshop and yard.
Surviving are his wife Anita Lutz, Elkhart, c hildren Spence (Peggy) Lutz, Granger, IN, Corey (Tina) Lutz, White Pigeon, Amber (Patrick) Minchella, Archbold, OH, Julie (JD) Harrison, Fairview, TN, step son Glen (Jessica) Houser, Niles, MI, 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brother Greg Lutz, Canada, brother in law Richard Yoder, Constantine, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Cherryl Shull and Becky Yoder and grand daughters Haley Rose Minchella and Megan Houser.
Per Mark’s request cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held at a later date. Interment of ashes will be in the White Pigeon Township Cemetery.
