Mary Cross, age 65, of Sturgis, passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023 at home after a long hard battle with cancer.
She was born Nov. 27, 1957 in Cleveland, a daughter to the late George F. and Anna Marie (O’Malley) Minosky.
Mary has been a resident of Sturgis most of her life and had been employed by Sturgis Molded Products for almost 40 years before cancer caused her to stop working.
On April 29, 1994 in Sturgis she married Robert E. “Bob” Cross. He preceded her in death Dec. 29, 2014.
Mary enjoyed golfing and spending time with her family. She was a person who always took care of others and so loved and enjoyed being with her grandchildren.
Surviving are 2 sons: Brad (Heather) Cross of Whitehouse Station, NJ and Chris Cross of Sturgis; 1 daughter: Wendy Richards of Sturgis; 7 grandchildren: Sophia Cross, Marley Cross, Drew Cross, Emily Cross, Kylie Cross, Hailey Richards, and Logan Richards; 4 sisters: Kelly Carroll, Annie (Bob) White, Linda Wiles, and Theresa “Terry” Skipper all of Fayetteville, NC; 1 brother: Frank (Jo) Minosky of Belton, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 4:00 to 8:00 on Wednesday at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091.
Services celebrating the life of Mary Cross will be held at 11:00, Thursday, at the funeral home with Lorraine Bolley, officiating.
