A Three Rivers man was among the people injured in a two-car crash earlier this week in Cass County’s Silver Creek Township.
Sheriff Richard Benhke said deputies were called shortly before 8:30 a.m. Tuesday to an area of M-62, west of Pokagon Street.
Behnke said 36-year-old Niles resident Brandon Lodholtz was driving east on M-62 when his vehicle crossed the centerline. It struck head-on a westbound vehicle driven by Steven Smillie, 74, of Three Rivers.
Investigators said Smillie had two passengers in his vehicle: 57-year-old Jonathan Sudakin, of Three Rivers, and Harold Lemon, 78, of Constantine.
Smillie and Lemon were transported to Crowell Health Lakeland Hospital, while Sudakin was treated at Borgess Lee Memorial. Lodholtz, meanwhile, was airlifted to South Bend Memorial Hospital.
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. Behnke said seatbelts were worn.
