Peters appointed to Senate Appropriations Committee

U.S. Sen. Gary Peters said with the new Congress beginning, he stands ready to hit the ground running, build on what he has helped accomplish over the past two years and continue to work in a bipartisan way to deliver for Michigan residents.

Peters stated in a media release he is excited to have been appointed to the Senate Appropriations Committee. The appointment will provide Peters a chance to advocate for policies and programs that will continue making Michigan a great place to live, work and raise a family, he said.

Peters also serves as chair of the Senate committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs; Senate committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation; and Senate committee on Armed Services.
