Self-serve COVID testing available

The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency and Covered Bridge Healthcare are offering self-serve COVID-19 testing at kiosks placed at their respective locations in Centreville, Sturgis and Three Rivers.

The units are the first of their kind in the state and were provided in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control. The kiosks offer 24/7 access to COVID-19 testing.

After a potential tester completes a brief registration form, the kiosks dispense a kit that includes a nasal swab and instructions on collecting the specimen. Once the specimen is collected, it is safely packaged back into the kit and placed in the kiosk. The specimens are picked up daily and sent to an accredited lab for PCR testing.

There is no out-of-pocket cost for the tests provided through a kiosk, but for those with insurance, their insurance will be billed for the test. In many cases, individuals will receive notification of their test results by email or text within 48 hours of specimen collection.
