Vicksburg village officials estimated as many as 5,000 people attended Saturday’s inaugural “Iceberg Festival” in the village’s downtown district.
Several ice sculptures, a grilled cheese and soup contest, and a snowmobile-suit fashion show highlighted the afternoon event.
Organizers said the allocation of 500 passports for samples of grilled cheese and soup sold out a few days before the day of the festival.
Village president Tim Frisbie said sunny skies and above-40 temperatures helped make the Iceberg Festival a success.
