Camelia Hernandez-Sanchez, 48

Camelia Hernandez-Sanchez, age 48, passed away at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo on March 22, 2023. Camelia was born in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico on May 19, 1974, the daughter of Manuel and Belen (Garza) Sanchez. Camelia loved life, her family and her friends. She had a wonderful smile and great sense of humor which made her a joy to know. She believed in working hard and always did her best to provide for her family. She stayed active and enjoyed cooking, knitting and other crafts. She enjoyed having a good time and nights out with those she loved. Above all Camelia loved her children and grandchildren and she leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived. She will be missed by those who loved her. In 1996, she married the love of her life, Dionicio Hernandez Jimenez who survives. She is also survived by her children, Maria Guadalupe Hernandez-Sanchez, Nohemi Belen (Michael Tyler Williams) Hernandez-Sanchez, Magaly Hernandez-Sanchez, Marco Aurelio Hernandez-Sanchez; grandchildren, Lucas Elias Bloom, Danailei Maye Williams; her parents; siblings, Roberto, Raul, Aurora, Leonor, Olga, Nohemi, Jose Manuel, Roel; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in passing by her sister, Graciela Sanchez.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers, beginning at 2:00. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00, one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Lupus Foundation of America.

A los 48 años, falleció en el Hospital Bronson en Kalamazoo, MI, el 22 de marzo de 2023. Camelia nació en Reynosa, Tamaulipas, México el 19 de mayo de 1974, hija de Manuel y Belén (Garza) Sánchez. Camelia amaba la vida, su familia y sus amigos. Tenía una sonrisa maravillosa y un gran sentido del humor que la hacía una alegría conocerla. Ella creía en trabajar duro y siempre hizo todo lo posible para mantener a su familia. Se mantuvo activa y disfrutaba cocinar, tejer y otras manualidades. Le gustaba pasar un buen rato y salir por la noche con sus seres queridos. Sobre todo, Camelia amaba a sus hijos y nietos y deja atrás el legado de una vida bien vivida. Ella será extrañada por aquellos que la amaron. En 1996, se casó con el amor de su vida, Dionicio Hernández Jiménez que sobrevive. También le sobreviven sus hijos, María Guadalupe Hernández-Sánchez, Nohemí Belén (Michael Tyler Williams) Hernández-Sánchez, Magaly Hernández-Sánchez, Marco Aurelio Hernández-Sánchez; nietos, Lucas Elias Bloom, Danailei Maye Williams; sus padres; hermanos, Roberto, Raúl, Aurora, Leonor, Olga, Nohemí, José Manuel, Roel; muchas sobrinas, sobrinos y amigos. Fue precedida de paso por su hermana, Graciela Sánchez.

Un servicio fúnebre para honrar y celebrar su vida se llevará a cabo el jueves 6 de abril de 2023 en Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers, MI 49093, a partir de las 2:00 PM. La familia recibirá a los amigos en la funeraria a partir de la 1:00 PM, una hora antes del servicio.
