Sen. Peters calls for gun reforms following MSU shooting

U.S. Sen. Gary Peters recently issued a media release centering on the recent mass shooting at Michigan State University.

Peters said he is calling for Congress to pass meaningful gun reforms, including legislation to expand federal background checks to all gun sales — a measure Peters said he helped reintroduce in the Senate.

Peters said lawmakers must enact reasonable limits on high-capacity magazines, close dangerous loopholes and pass red flag laws, while still respecting the rights of law-abiding, responsible gun owners.

Peters said such commonsense proposals are supported by the overwhelming majority of the American people and will save lives.

  1. How ’bout no more “gun free campus” so shooters don’t waltz in expecting zero resistance?

If a shooter expected someone could fire back, would they target schools?
