Nila J. Thompson, age 72, of Burr Oak, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, April 9, 2023.
She was born on June 24, 1950, in Sherwood, Michigan a daughter to the late Niles and Rose Mary (Drake) Inman.
In October of 2001, Nila married Jack Thompson in Sturgis.
Nila owned and operated Nila’s Goat Farm where she manufactured soaps and lotions. Nila enjoyed arts and crafts in her free time.
Surviving is her husband Jack Thompson of Burr Oak, 4 daughters: Pam (Greg) Massie, Laurie Juan, Billie Jo Depetro, and Destiny (Joe) Yousko, step daughter Melissa, 2 sisters, 15 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Niles and Rose Mary, Nila was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Peggy Drake.
Following in her wish’s cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place on Monday, April 17, 2023, at 10:00 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: 1111 Galyn St, Sturgis, MI 49091.
