Ted Ream, 71

Theodore Walter Ream, age 71, died in Three Rivers on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

Ted Ream. . . A good hearted, honest, hard-working man.
Peace activist and war resister.
Went to school in Australia and Argentina.
College graduate, articulate, well spoken gentleman, friendly in his manner.
Multi year watchdog of the Kalamazoo city council.
Loving, careful, and attentive full-time father to two smart and active boys who have grown up to have successful careers in complex fields.
Excellent farmer, tomato specialist.
Fisherman on the river, won the gar size award one year in Michigan.
Craftsman with stones.
Exercising with community oldsters, substitute teaching the class.
Believer in the USA …in the constitution – and defender of quality community standards and fiduciary responsibility.
Always well informed, with a sense of humor.

Loved and missed by his neighbors.
Got off the booze completely, absolutely blooming now in the new spring time…taken too early.
He never got to see the grandkids… we were going to do that this summer.
He got control of his life and turned it to happiness and it was beautiful to see.
He originally turned to alcohol because they tested for cannabis, and he would never put his job at risk.
Absolutely careful driver all his life, never a single ticket until about a year ago.
A good and loving human being, a good citizen, a good neighbor, a good brother,

Ted is survived by sons Geoffrey Ream and Brian Ream, and by his brother Charles Ream.

There will be a service in June at Riverside Cemetery, with a date to be announced later.
