Three Rivers High School has ended its search for a varsity football coach.
District officials announced last week the hiring of Chris Gilliam. He has 22 years of head-coaching experience, logging 19 seasons at Birch Run High School and three at Adrian High School.
A Flint native, Gilliam played football at and ultimately graduated from Olivet College. He has taught both physical education and health during his tenure.
Gilliam said he is looking forward to his time at Three Rivers both on and off the football field. He met with the football teams on Friday morning.
Gilliam has better than 100 career wins as a head coach and has won conference, district and regional titles. He led Birch Run to the Division 5 state semifinals in 2005, culminating the season in a 12-1 record.
