Bear Jones, 70

Pearce E. Jones (Bear), age 70, of Colon, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at his home.

Bear was born a son to the late Elmo and Rhoda Jones, on July 31, 1952, in Detroit. He was a resident of Colon for the last 40 years and was previously employed at Vanguard Industries in Colon.

Surviving him are his children: Melinda Jones, Joshua Shook, and Tonisha Samuels, 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a sister.

Besides his parents, Elmo and Rhoda, Bear was preceded in death by a son and a sister.

Following in his wish’s cremation has taken place. There are no services planned at this time. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. to help with funeral expenses.
