Chad Loyer, 31

Chad M. Loyer, age 31, of Vandalia, died on May 21, 2023 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, following a long, tough battle with kidney disease and renal failure. He was born on October 3, 1991 in Three Rivers, a son of William Tad Loyer and Kelly Ray. Chad attended Constantine Schools. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and dirt track racing stock cars.  He was a happy kid who was full of life, and lived it to the fullest the best he could. Chad was a hard worker and was employed as a welder at Coachmen Industries in Middlebury and APL Tree Service in Marcellus.

Surviving are his mother Kelly (Glen) Borntreger, Centreville,  father William Tad Loyer, Vandalia,  brother T.J. (Christina) Loyer, Marcellus,  step-sisters Carissa Borntreger and MaKayla Borntreger, South Carolina,  niece Arreanna Loyer, nephew Austyn Schull, grandparents Monte (Nancy) Ray, Colon and JoAnn Ray, Ocilla, GA, step-grandfather Joseph Borntreger, and many cousins aunts and uncles.

Chad was preceded in death by his grandfather William (Bill) Loyer, great grandmother Laura Loyer, and step-grandmother Mary Anna Borntreger.

Chad’s wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from noon to dusk at Kelly and Glen’s home, 62067 Wahl Rd., Centreville. Meat will be provided, please bring a dish to pass.
