Cindy Royce, 62

Cynthia Linn Royce, age 62, of White Pigeon, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 17, 2023 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo.

She was born July 29, 1960 in Goshen, daughter of Richard W. and Julia Maxine (Kramer) Thomas.

Cindy was a lifelong White Pigeon resident and a graduate of White Pigeon High School with the class of 1978.

On October 7, 1978 she married Danyl J. Royce in White Pigeon.

For nine years she had been employed by the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers and she was a dedicated homemaker, mother and grandmother.

Cindy was a member of Arthur E. Stears American Legion Post #223 Auxiliary and the Three Rivers Eagles Lodge #2303 Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and attending her grandchildren’s many sporting events. Cindy had involvements and hobbies, but what she truly cherished was time spent with her husband, sons, and grandchildren, and entire family.

She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 44 years: Dan; sons: Jesse Tyler (Crystal) Royce and Joshua Todd (Rita) Royce both of White Pigeon; grandchildren: Carter, Natalie, Zachary, Brooklyn and Tate; mother and step-father: Julia Maxine and Joe Hooley of Punta Gorda, Florida; sisters: Shella R. Moore of Tampa, Florida and Tina K. (Ray) Michalek of Kendallville, Indiana; brothers: Michael A. (Lori) Thomas of Constantine and Rick Persing of Alabama; step-mother: Connie Thomas of White Pigeon; sisters-in-law: Darcy (Roger) Reiff and Dana (Jon) Sparling both of Constantine and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 6:00 on Sunday, May 21st at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd. in Sturgis where funeral services celebrating the life of Cynthia Linn Royce will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 22nd. Pastor Steve Hall will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at the White Pigeon Township Cemetery in White Pigeon.

Per Cindy’s request in lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to the White Pigeon Fireman’s Association or the Hope Truck Foundation. Mailing address for both organizations is 16975 US-12, White Pigeon, MI 49099.
