Linda Owen, 73

Linda Joy Owen, age 73, of Marcellus, died Monday, May 8, 2023 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. She was born in Three Rivers on April 18, 1950 the daughter of Jack R. and Ilah Mae (Westphal) Pierson. She attended Marcellus Schools and proudly earned her GED years later from Three Rivers High School. Linda was a homemaker who was also employed at Colon Schools for over 20 years. She was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed knitting, bird-watching, and collecting ink pens. Her favorite color was purple, and she loved time with her grandkids and family events.

Linda is survived by her companion of twenty years, Layton Spicer; daughters, Sherry Ann Bradford-Brown (Stephen Miller) and Tammy Jackson (Richard); grandchildren Tosha Bradford, Richard Jackson III, Emily Pant, Ashley Tice, and Owen Jackson; several step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one on the way; step-children, Myrna Owen, Brenda Bergakker, and Dean Owen (Melanie); sister, Louann Hagenbuch (Mark); brother, Larry Dean Pierson (Robyn Crum); nephew, Kyle Hagenbuch (Ameythist); great-nephew, Nikolai Hagenbuch. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Orville Lewis Owen.

There will be a visitation from 10 am until 12 noon on Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. A private family interment will take place in Locust Grove Cemetery. It is suggested that memorial contributions be directed to Rose Arbor Hospice, 5473 Croyden Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
