Marvin W. Milliman, age 84, of Sturgis, passed away Saturday evening, May 20, 2023 at Optalis Health and Rehab in Three Rivers.
He was born August 23, 1938 in Sturgis, son of the late Wilbur O. and Marion F. (Hawkins) Milliman.
Marvin resided his entire life in Sturgis.
On August 23, 1997 he married the love of his life, Sharon Marie Jackson in Sturgis. She preceded him death February 4, 2019.
Marvin was a lifelong farmer and farming was his life.
He is survived by his daughter: Rebecca Evans of Sturgis; grandsons: Matthew Evans and Michael Evans, both of Sturgis; sister: Beverly Jackson of Sturgis; niece: Faith (Bryan) Wilbur of St. John’s; nephews: Paul (Lisa) Jackson of Phoenix, Arizona and Richard (Kristi) Jackson of White Pigeon and several great nieces and nephews.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother-in-law: Howard Jackson and nephews: David Jackson and Joseph Jackson.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 on Friday, May 26th at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis where funeral services celebrating the life of Marvin W. Milliman will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 27th. The Rev. Phil Bontrager will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
