Elizabeth M. (Schwartz) Neuenschwander, age 82, of Burr Oak, died Saturday, June 17, 2023 at her home. She was born in Adams County, Indiana on Dec. 11, 1940 the daughter of Jacob and Mary (Miller) Schwartz. She was married to John J. Neuenschwander on Dec. 1, 1966 in Berne, Indiana.
She is survived by five children, John E. Neuenschwander of Bluffton, Indiana, Jonas J. (Veronica) Neuenschwander of Burr Oak, Elizabeth E. (Neal Dean) Bontrager of Colon, Victor J. (Rachel) Neuenschwander of Angola, and Christian E. (Marilyn) Neuenschwander of Mendon; forty-seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; and a grandson, Isaiah Neuenschwander.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 pm Monday, June 19th and from 10 am to 8 pm Tuesday, the 20th at the Community Youth Center, 59321 Nottawa Road, Centreville. Funeral services will be at 9:00 am Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the CYC with Home Ministry officiating. Burial will be in the Old Amish Cemetery on Truckenmiller Road, Centreville.
