A Sturgis man died in a motorcycle crash last weekend in Burr Oak Township.
Michigan State Police troopers were called Saturday to private property on Maystead Road in response to a single-vehicle crash.
Investigators said the 60-year-old driver of the motorcycle, identified as Don Harker, lost control and it struck a tree head-on. He was declared dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, authorities said.
A passenger was transported to Bronson Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash, according to troopers.
