Golf outings will benefit local causes

Here’s a reminder that a fundraiser for St. Joseph County Habitat for Humanity takes place Friday.

“Hittin’ Fore Homes,” a golf outing at St. Joe Valley Golf Club, starts at 9 a.m. Cost is $240 per foursome, and includes food at the turn and after 18 holes.

Prizes will be awarded for longest drive and longest putt.

Meanwhile, the Larry Frisbie Memorial Golf Outing is set for Aug. 6, also at St. Joe Valley. Benefitting the Centreville and Sturgis Lions clubs, the fundraiser features a 1 p.m. shotgun start, the chance for a $10,000 prize for making a hole-in-one and a putting contest.

Registration can be done by phoning 467-6275.
