Grant awarded for diaper bank

Community Action Agency in Allegan was recently awarded a grant for a diaper bank. Several counties, including St. Joseph County, were included in the award.

The diaper bank has been set up at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, on East Main Street in Centreville.

Prospective clients must meet financial requirements for the program and a form must be completed for consideration. Those who qualify will be provided with a one-month supply of diapers, as well as wipes and ointment.

MDHSS officials said this is a first-come, first-served program. Clients are allowed distribution once per month.
