Marian Jean Smith, age 86, of Sturgis, passed away Monday morning, June 5, 2023 at her home.
She was born April 11, 1937 in Orland, Indiana daughter of the late Homer and Margaret M. (Neff) Smith.
Marian resided most of her life in Sturgis.
She retired from the Kirsch Company in Sturgis following many years of dedicated employment.
Marian enjoyed fishing, woodworking and gardening.
She is survived by her grandson: Miles Smith of Albion, Indiana; great granddaughter: Lexi Smith of Sturgis; sisters: Margaret Mengle of Catskills, New York and Frances Robinson of Hurley, New York and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Lonnie Smith; great granddaughter: Mallory Smith and sister: Catherine Wilcox.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
