Summer activities planned at White Pigeon library

White Pigeon Township Library has a slate of events and activities on tap in coming weeks.

First, its summer reading program starts Monday. Then, on June 14, the Potawatomi Zoo – including Larry the Sloth – will pay a visit June 14.

Finally, the popular “Summertime Tunes” 2023 program kick-off starts at 6 o’clock June 21, featuring The Whistle Pigs, performers of crowd-pleasing music.

The series continues through the summer:

June 28, RockDogs, whose genre centers on classic rock.
July 5, Orquesta Ritmo, a band specializing in salsa music.
July 12, country/western band Brenda Loomis Band.
July 19, Tony Fields, who claims to perform the best rhythm and blues/Motown in Michigan.
Prospective attendees are urged to bring a chair and an appetite, as food trucks will be on hand for food to purchase.
