Volunteers cleanup Animal Control

A team of volunteers from Three Rivers spent Saturday morning lending a hand at St. Joseph County Animal Control.

Sheriff’s Department Captain T.J. Baker said the workers were from Beacon Health and sent a team of eight volunteers, who put in about four hours of work.

Baker said the group painted an assortment of structures and tidied up animal control’s fenced-in play area. He said the structures now look like they did when they were new.

Baker said any amount of volunteer help is appreciated, even if for just one hour.

Beacon Health volunteers were: Leigh Ann Hooley, Kyurra Gill, James Mitchell, Tina Schlarb, Julie Miller, Rebecca McWilliams, Robin Richard and Erin Nowak.
