Chris Moline, 64

Christine M. Moline, age 64, of Howe, Indiana was reunited with her husband, Don, in heaven for eternity Tuesday afternoon, July 18, 2023 at her home following a hard fought battle with cancer.

Christine May Moline was delivered into this world by her mother on September 3, 1958 to her parents Donnie C. and Virginia M. (Nagle) Milliman, in the car as they were on their way to the hospital. Since she was born outside the hospital she was classified a “dirty baby” which meant she had to stay in the room with her mother instead of the nursery.

Chris grew up on the family farm along with her five siblings and graduated from Bronson High School with the class of 1977.

She started her banking career with the First National Bank & Trust Company in January of 1979. She remained with the bank for 18 years through acquisitions by Ameritrust Bank, Society Bank than KeyBank. She would finish her career by working 22 years with Sturgis Bank & Trust Company. During her banking career she obtained a General Banking, Consumer Lending, Mortgage Lending and a Commercial Lending Diploma from the American Institute of Banking. She furthered her education at Glen Oaks Community College obtaining an Associate of Applied Business Science and Associate of Business Diploma than completing her education at Davenport College with a Bachelor of Business General Business Degree.

Her life became complete when she married Donald Paul Moline on October 8, 1988. The lived in Sturgis the first seven years of their marriage before moving into their home in Brighton, Indiana, where they both lived until their passing. They were both longtime members of the Brighton Chapel, in Brighton (Howe), Indiana. During their marriage they traveled to Alaska, Texas, Florida and Las Vegas, Nevada, before Don’s passing on July 24, 2012.

Chris loved to travel and was blessed to have traveled to the Holy Lands, Caribbean’s and many countries in Europe. What she loved most was taking her loved ones on travel adventures along with spending time as much as possible with her siblings, nieces and nephews and their children, extended family and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, parents Donnie & Virginia Milliman, brother, Charles Milliman and brothers-in-law: David Moline, Robert Moline, Jr. and Edwin Moline.

Chris is survived by her siblings: Catherine (Chris) TenBusschen of Gobles, George (Jackie) Milliman of Sturgis, Jess (Deb) Milliman of Bronson and Donna Kerr of Sturgis. Also her nieces and nephews: Hunter TenBusschen, Alexis TenBusschen, Dana Milliman, Adam (Hannah) Milliman, Ashley (Tim) Vaduva, Jon Milliman, Donald (Nikita) Milliman, Jess (Lori) Milliman, Jr., Mark Moline, Jeremy Kerr, Heather (Rich) Persing, along with 16 great special nieces and nephews. Her favorite forever fur friend kitties, Harvey, Diva and Lizzy that gave her comfort and love unconditionally. Her step-children: Jeff Moline, Michelle Carr and Alecia (Troy) Smith, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, July 23rd at the Brighton Chapel, 5415 IN-3, in Howe, Indiana where funeral services celebrating the life of Christine May Moline will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday. Pastor Krapfl will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the celebration at Brighton Cemetery.

The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
