Larry Blivin, 71

Larry R. Blivin passed away in North Liberty, Indiana on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the age of 71. He was born in Three Rivers on July 22, 1952, the son of the late Robert Blivin and Consuela (Raboin).

Larry was a quiet and private man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He had a wonderful smile, great sense of humor, and was a joy to know. Larry graduated from Three Rivers High School, Class of 1970. He was a member of the wrestling team and was a State Finalist. He was a hard worker and was employed in the Tool and Die trade for several years. Larry did his best to provide for his family and was a loving father. Later in life he met Marilyn Doherty who would be his life companion for twenty-two wonderful years. Together they shared a home in Indiana where Larry spent many peaceful days watching the joys of nature, taking walks through the woods and being outdoors. Above all Larry loved his family and he was especially proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchild. He leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived and he will be missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by three children, Amy Blivin, Kristy Bloom and Robert (Christy) Blivin; companion of 22 years, Marilyn Doherty; five grandchildren, Correy Godden, Victoria and Tiffany Leaders, Parker and Carter Bloom; great-grandson, G’Arrion; brother, Lee (Michelle) Blivin; siblings, Linda (Bob) Roberts and Lori (Tom) Seebeck; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was also preceded in passing by a brother, Lynn Blivin; a son-in-law, Chris Bloom.

Services to honor and celebrate Larry’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St. Three Rivers, MI 49093. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00. Interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Three Rivers.

Memorial donations in Larry’s memory may be directed to the St. Joseph County, Indiana Humane Society.
