Teresa Ann Tutewiler, age 56, died peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2023 with caregivers in attendance at Haven House in Coldwater. She was born in Grand Rapids on October 1, 1966 the daughter of Lucile (Tutewiler) Bloom. She was one of the first students at the Pathfinder Center in Centreville. She was in the ADAPT Day Program, and attended the Free Methodist Church in Sherwood. She enjoyed being in the barns at her grandparent’s farm while they raised horses and ponies. She like to “window shop” in catalogs and magazines and listening to Gaither gospel music.
Teresa is survived by her mother, Lucile (Tutewiler) Bloom of Constantine; uncle, Edward (Diann) Tutewiler of Cynthiana, Kentucky; five nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews; many ADAPT and church friends; and by her baby doll, Chaz. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Ruth Tutewiler; and uncle, Bill Tutewiler.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon with her uncle, Maj. Edward Tutewiler, Retired from the Salvation Army officiating. Burial will be in Leonidas Cemetery. It is suggested that memorial contributions be directed to ADAPT, 202 Morse Street, Coldwater, MI 49036.
