Final brush pickup in Sturgis

The final brush pickup of 2023 in Sturgis is wrapping up.

Department of Public Services crews began the task Monday at the north end of town and have been working their way south.

Materials must be neatly stacked on the terrace and away from objects or obstructions such as power poles, guy wires and signposts.

Limbs, branches, or brush material must be less than four inches in diameter and shorter than eight feet. Crews will not pick up grass clippings, roots, thorn-bearing branches, tree trunks or stumps.
