Lucy Jean Tilbury, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at her home in Three Rivers.
She was born September 10, 1938 in Maine. Lucy spent her early years in Akron, Ohio, before moving to West Michigan. She lived for 20 years in various West Michigan towns until settling in Three Rivers in 1991. She married her loving husband, Michael Tilbury, Sr., on April 26, 2005 in Three Rivers. While living in the West Michigan area she worked in the office for the Grand Rapids Public School District. Once Lucy settled in Three Rivers, her life as a Persian Cat Breeder took off. She was apart of the American Cat Fanciers Association and over the years provided many families with beautiful Persian companions. She was also a news junkie and loved Fox News.
Lucy is survived by her husband of 18 years, Michael Tilbury, Sr. of Three Rivers; Children: Sara Cimek of Kentwood, MI, Chip (Joyce) Tatroe of Cannonsburg, MI, James Carr of Holland, MI, Laura Carr of Kentwood, MI, Dianna Carr of Tuson, AZ, and Amy Stevens of St. Clair Shores, MI; 11 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren; Best Friends: Jackie Copeland of Greenville, MI and Joanna, who has passed, and Pat Riley of Kissimmee, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents; children: Bobby Tatroe, Daniel Carr and Daniel Tatroe; Grandson Storme Fleet and one brother.
