Randy Karp, 68

Randy Aloysius Karp, age 68, of Sturgis, passed away Wednesday morning, October 18, 2023 at Edgewater Health and Rehabilitation in Three Rivers.

He was born February 20, 1955 in Saginaw, son of the late Ronald and Helen Karp.

Randy resided in Sturgis since 1991 coming from Saginaw. On May 13, 2011 he married Lisa Reno in Centreville.

His last employment was with Lozier Store Fixtures in Middlebury. Most of his working life was as an auto mechanic and he spent many years working for Tuffy Tire and Service Centers in Elkhart and Sturgis.

Randy was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1973-1977 earning the rank of Corporal.

He was a member of Neuman-Wenzel Post #73 American Legion and enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and vegetable gardening and at one time, was a league bowler. Randy loved time spent with his family, especially when he was with Lisa or his grandchildren.

Randy is survived by his loving and dedicated wife: Lisa; his children: April (Brandon) Lehman of White Pigeon, Andrew (Samantha) Karp of White Pigeon, Kayla (Brad) Nulf of Constantine and Charles Williams of Sturgis; 11 grandchildren; brothers: Ronald (Karen) Karp and Robert Lintz both of Saginaw and Greg (Maureen) Wells of Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and brother: Michael.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 Friday, Oct. 20th at the Burr Oak Missionary Church, 327 N. Third Street in Burr Oak. A graveside service and interment will take place at 10:30 A.M. Monday, Oct. 23rd at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, where full military honors will be conferred by the Fort Custer and U.S. Marine Corp Honor Guards.
