Sandra J. Mow, age 74, of Sturgis, passed away late Friday evening, October 13, 2023 at her home.
She was born September 24, 1949 in Sturgis, daughter of the late David and Ruth (Short) Schmidt.
Sandra was a lifelong Sturgis resident and graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1967.
She retired in 2017 from LTI Printing in Sturgis, following 30 years of dedicated employment.
Sandra was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sturgis.
She is survived by her son: Jason Mow of Sturgis; grandchildren: Alysa Mow, Jayden Mow and Madison Mow; step-grandchildren: Sophia Nichols and Jadrian Lung-Hernandez; brothers: Charles Schmidt of Parker City, Indiana and John Schmidt of Sturgis and nieces and nephews.
Sandra requested special thanks be extended to Deann Buckhold, Dave and Cindy Weiderman, and members of St. John’s Lutheran Church for all of the prayers, letters and cards. To her son Jason thank you for always being at my side until I was called home to be with my Savior Jesus Christ.
Funeral services celebrating the life of Sandra J. Mow will be held at 2:00, Wednesday, October 18th at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sturgis, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Darin Warnecke will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
