Troy Martin, 82

Troy Wiley Martin, age 82, of Three Rivers, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 at South Bend Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 17, 1941 in Brookhaven, Miss, the son of Aaron and Luvenia (Sanders) Martin.

Known around Three Rivers as “The Black Gypsy,” Troy loved riding his decorated bicycle around town while wearing his gypsy gear. He was definitely a fashionista! He enjoyed partying, listening to music, and having a good time, as well as fishing, and spending time with his family.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his sons, Frank Martin and Floyd Martin; daughter, Jackie; siblings, Jessie Martin, Annie Mcgee, Robert Martin, Kirby Martin, Mae Brown, and Bennie (Angela) Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Troy was preceded in death by his sisters, Mattie Kelly and Dorthy Smith.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers, with a memorial service at noon at the funeral home.
