Doris Wagoner, 91

Doris Lucille Wagoner passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023, in Three Rivers. She was 91.

Doris was born in LaGrange County, Ind. She was the first of two children born to Maggie (Eatinger) and Harvey Myers, with seven half-siblings from her parents’ previous marriages.

At church in her teens, Doris met Raymond Wagoner, a chance encounter that charted the rest of her life. They married in Howe, settled in LaGrange County, and had two daughters, Deloris and Vickie, before moving to White Pigeon. Doris was primarily a homemaker but held several other jobs, including stints at the Transogram toy factory and, once her son Bob entered kindergarten, as a lunch lady at White Pigeon High School.

But mainly, Doris lived for family. She was a devoted mother who would go without to benefit her children, and a loving grandmother, great- and great-great-grandmother.

Doris is survived by her children, Deloris (Daniel) Seybert of Georgetown, Ky., Vickie (Kenneth) Hoff of White Pigeon, and Bob (Dalene) Wagoner of Three Rivers, along with 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents, eight siblings, and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 27 at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon, with funeral services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
