Homer W. Pelfrey, age 49, of Sturgis, passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 10, 2023 at his home.
He was born October 17, 1974 in Sturgis, son of Homer and Sandy (Hammond) Pelfrey.
Homer was a lifelong Sturgis resident and graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1993.
Homer was a jack of all trades; he enjoyed working on cars and scrapping.
He is survived by his daughter: Amanda Pelfrey of Quincy; sons: Russell Pelfrey of Reading and Stone Pelfrey of Sturgis; parents: Homer and Sandra Pelfrey of Florida; sister: Melissa (Misty) Defoor of Illinois; brother: Timothy Pelfrey of Sturgis; half-sister: Elaine Pelfrey of Lansing and half-brother: David Pelfrey of Sturgis.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Richard and Margaret Hammond and Porter and Anna Lee Pelfrey.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091 is entrusted with the arrangements.
