United Way opens fund to help local family

St. Joseph County United Way has opened a family catastrophic fund for the relatives of Victoria Rose Marckini.

Victoria, who went by the name Tori, unexpectedly passed away the night of Nov. 25. She was a senior at Three Rivers High School, where she was a member of the Aristocrats and a member of the Teachers Academy.

Her goal was to become a teacher. She had also been accepted to Western Michigan University. She was a daughter, granddaughter and a sister to her five brothers.

Donations to support the family can be made through the United Way website: sjcuf.com.
