Bob Persing, 74

Robert Eugene Persing, age 74, of Sturgis, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023 in Coldwater.

He was born December 22, 1948 in Sturgis, son of the late Robert Wendell Persing and Ruby Kime.

Bob resided most of his life in Sturgis.

He had been employed by Leland Manufacturing in White Pigeon and Owen’s Classic in Sturgis.

Bob had a green thumb and enjoyed caring for his many house plants. He also enjoyed being in the outdoors and riding his bike. Bob loved time spent with his family.

He is survived by his children: Charity Lopez, James Marker, Timothy Marker, Robert Marker, Les Marker and Keith Sanford all of Sturgis; several grandchildren and great grand children and nieces and nephews; sister: Linda Carpenter of Sturgis and brother: Chuck Persing of Sturgis.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert Persing, mother, and step-father: Ruby and Jack Beers; Sister: Connie Feister; niece: Jessica Feister and nephew: Scott Carpenter.

In accordance with family wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Robert Persing will take place at a later date to be announced.

The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
