John S. “Jack” Hagberg, age 95, of Klinger Lake, Sturgis, passed away Monday morning, December 18, 2023 at Sparrow House Senior Living in Sturgis.
He was born January 8, 1928 in Kenilworth, New Jersey son of the late Clarence and Estelle Hagberg.
Jack resided at Klinger Lake since 2000 coming from Winter Springs, Florida. His early life was spent in Miami.
On May 11, 2000 he married Elizabeth “Libby” (Beattey) Lively in Winter Park, Florida.
Most all of Jack’s working life was in sales.
He was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII with the Seabees.
Jack was a private pilot and loved to fly and play golf.
He is survived by his wife: Libby; daughters: Christine (Dean) Moore and Kathryn Hagberg; son: John Andrew Hagberg; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; step-sons: Rev. James (Tracy) Lively and Michael (Margaret) Lively; three step-grandchildren; one step-great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Elizabeth Hallman; brothers: George and Newell and sister: Barbara.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Services will be held at a later date to be announced.
