Three people, including a 2-year-old child, were treated for potential hypothermia after the vehicle they were in left the roadway and ended up in the Portage River.
Undersheriff Jason Bingaman said deputies were called Thursday morning to the area of Haines Road and South Fisher Lake Road in Lockport Township.
Investigators said the three were in a vehicle heading west when it crossed the centerline, left the roadway and overturned into the river.
The three victims, all Centreville residents, were able to exit the vehicle and were aided by a passerby. They were transported to Three Rivers Health, deputies said.
