Donna Lawson, 64

Donna Lynn Lawson, age 64, of Centreville, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 18, 2024 at her home following a hard fought battle with cancer.

She was born April 7, 1959 in South Bend, daughter of Eugene and Charlene (Paduano) Orban.

Donna resided in Centreville for over 20 years coming from Sturgis.

She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and homemaker.

Donna enjoyed reading, working in her yard, cleaning and organizing her home, interior decorating and seemed to always be painting at least one room in her house. She had a true love for her cats and an appreciation for all animals, domesticated or wild. Donna was happiest when she was surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her significant other: Rod Warner; children: Lynn (Joe) Miller, Jennifer (Rick) Colvin, Brittany (Jeremy) Chaplin, Rodney “RJ” Warner and Rebecca (Nick Zeman) Warner; grandchildren: Sheila (Brandon) Vanhoozer, Nick (Kenna) Miller, Brandon (Amia) Hargett, Brianna Hargett, Abby Colvin, Aubrey Colvin and Nolan Chaplin; great grandchildren: Liam Hargett, Gracelyn Vanhoozer and Kate Lyn Vahhoozer; her mother: Charlene Orban; brothers, Timothy (Jackie) Orban and Thomas Orban; Sisters: Deborah (Don) Mohney, Lorie (Marvin) Stevens, Jr. Christine (Lee) Ballman and many nieces and nephews including a special nephew: Mike Orban.

Donna was preceded in death by her father: Eugene and infant brother: Eugene Orban, Jr.

In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.

The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
